how long does it usually take to format a 120gb drive?

Took about 20-25 min for my 40 gig IIRC for a full NTFS format. So a while for a 120 gig. Though I would think you at least see some progress by now.

screw it. i just did a quick format, upgraded to dynamic, and am now copying 40gigs of 120gigs total data over.

I HATE software programmers trying to do IT stuff. I ALWAYS have to go back and fix it. She might know "if, and, or" really well, but she sure as hell doesn't speak win2k server worth a crap.

Uh. If you program, and don't understand the basic workings of the OS like that, I don't want to use anything that you code.

she writes java based stuff. she knows enough to get going, but screws stuff up a LOT. when I got the pc, it had three harddrives
hdd1: 80gb OS drive as D:
hdd2: 60gb drive. 40gb mirrored w/ hdd3, and 20gb as C: (no os C: though..)
hdd3: 40gb drive. mirrored w/ 40gb partition from hdd2.

she "upgraded' from windows 98 to 2000 server. it was a wreck.
