How long does it take your PC to reboot?

~2 min - Win XP

and thats because i have 4 HDDs that boot off a PCI IDE Card, and it takes a bit to get the file info from them

without them it takes like 30 secs
 
depends if you have your system set up such that pressing the restart button immediately restarts the system or properly shuts it down and then turns it back on
 
considering I have a PC w/ 1GB RAM running at 2.2 GHz, either you guys are lying or I have to tweak my system more!

Well, it takes longer than usual when you have all that pornware loading at startup.

Tweak more... I have about 2.2GHz, but only 512MB CAS 2 Corsair XMS RAM. You can seriously cut XP's RAM usage down to 40MB if you know what to kill...
 
about 2 mins for my main computer, almost 5 minutes on my 'monster' clunker rig that I pieced out of parts of lessor computers and put all my older hard drives in (9 hard drives in that sucker)

I once had a link to a program that moniters your start up and gives you a report on what programs took how long etc, anyone have that link? It might have been from AVSforum, but couldn't re-find it.

it was called bootvis, and it was a MS powertoy type thingie for XP, however it seems to no longer exist
