i don't get paid too much, but there are some things that you just have to die to get it! like those klipsch speakers...the v2.400 ones...the ones that bump like a biznitch! i don't know if i should get it or not...shelling out 240 for them is kinda expensive....that's 2.5 days of work and i only work 3 days/week

Yeah, I worked at a movie theater and got paid $6.50 an hour this summer. I spent about 2 weeks of work upgrading my car stereo system. Was it worth it? I dunno, but I enjoy it

Back when I was near your age I made 1.60 an hour.. of course not really as we were paid by shift..we were paid for 8 hours even if our shift lasted 11 hours. And on weekend nights sometimes it would be that long. You are lucky that you get paid on the clock. I worked 6 days a week and took home as little as 55.00 for the weeks work. After a couple years I was in the big time..made 2.75 an hour. Thats when I purchased my first car, a 10 year old Chevy Nova for 300.00. Seems dirt cheap now, but it was a lot of bread to me. Whats funny is that almost 30 years later I make many times that amount and buying a new car still doesnt make sense. You just have to learn to live within your means and make wise choices. You are young, be happy you arent straddled in debt and have time to stop and smell the roses.

Yep, not to mention that the average income dollar per dollar is lower, so somebody making $30k US would probably make $25k CAN AND taxes are higher and stuff costs more.

That's why Canada has the problem of its young tech workers "fleeing" to the States. It's fun being an American in Canada, though, because some things seem cheap, like beer. Even the girly bars on Younge Street/Toronto are bargain priced. Last time I was there, the cover was having to buy 1 beer for $5 CAN ($3.25 USD) and you could stay as long as you wanted. Oh yes, Tylenol with codeine OTC, too.

Getting back to your original message, I pay things off just before the 0% intrest time. I just love those. I buy lots of stuff but make sure I do not pay the intrest. However I always think of just how many people do just that. Not to many or they would stop doing it. So thanks to all of you out there that pay intrest so I don't have to.


Only two things that I pay intrest on is my house and one car payment.

No, but I average about 2 loads of laundry a week, our washers are really small. And it's $1 to wash and $.75 to dry. The dryers suck so sometimes I have to run them through twice.
That doens't quite add up to $25, but I was more thinking of how much money I spend on quarters every month...the rest goes to parking.

Heh, had some of that stuff when I broke my thumb, didn't do a damn thing for me. I have a high resistance to drugs though -- takes about 3 perkicets before I start to feel any different. My girlfriend takes 1 of those things and she's knocked out for 8 hours.
