What is scary is 3 times I have fallen sleep while driving too, just this terrible overwhelming urge to sleep overcomes me. Been into 2 accidents because of it.

umm think you need to see a doctor.
For me it's between 5-15 minutes. There are some nights that I can't sleep for over an hour. That has really dropped after having a kid though.

Ehhh, sometimes I can fall asleep in an hour or so, but usually it takes around 1-2 hours.

If I try to go to bed early, usually I still don't fall asleep until later on.
Pretty much any change to my sleep schedule takes months to adjust to, and waking up an hour early one day fvcks me over for weeks.... so I try to stay consistant.

10-15 minutes, but if I wake up in the middle of the night, it takes me much longer to fall back asleep.

Anywhere from a minute (very rare) to several hours (rare, but not as rare). Average is probably 20-30 minutes.

If it's during the day, however, I can nearly always fall asleep in less than 5 minutes. I hate having to sleep at night.

It depends:

No stress: 2 minutes
Normal day: 5-10 minutes
Heavy stress (work & kids): 10-15 minutes
The wife wants to talk: 30 min+

lsat night, 3 hours. The night before 2.5 hours... Not sure why normally it's 15-30 min depending on how tired I am.

He needs to not be on the road...

Usually, takes me 30-60 minutes to fall asleep been like that my whole life. If I'm not tired when going to bed it's usually pointless to even try.

like 30mins
This. I'm most awake at night, so it's really hard to sleep at night.

What's fucked is that I'm the average and the people who naturally wake up at 6am are the freaks. Did anyone ever ask why there is a stereotype about unemployed people never waking up before noon? That's because humans naturally sleep until noon.

When I decide to sleep (turn off light after reading), within 5 min. I have fallen asleep a few times with a book in my hands. I usually read for a good half hour or more.

I usually lay in bed reading for 30-60 minutes before going to sleep, but from the point where I turn out the lights and close my eyes, it's probably ~5 minutes until I fall asleep on a typical night.

I'll fall asleep in between 5 to 10 minutes. If I have a lot on my mind, sometimes an hour or two. If I'm drunk, 5 seconds. lol.
