15-20 minutes.

That is going to increase as I am moving 10 miles north at the end of the month.

Bunch of lucky $&%!*@'s

To shcool in the morning 1h35min
Home on a monday and wednesday 1h35min

but 2 hours any other day.
.....and longer if i can't get a ride home, then a 1 mile walk home.

I'm gonna be glad when i get my degree in 2003

edit: Oh BTW, I take the bus, 1/4 the price of driving. The drawback is the commute time.
If i were driving about 1 hour to, and 1 hour home....... +45 mins either way if the trafic or weather is BAD.
exactly 25 miles away according to meter. And probably 32 miles with the horribly indirect route the bus takes.

About 15 minutes but I have to allow over 5 minutes on top of that to walk across the carpark, into the building and all the way over to my department!

You should have made a poll!

Anyways. I have about a 7 mile commute. If I leave earleir (before 6:30, I'd say it's about a 10 minute drive). If I leave later (7:30+), it takes maybe 15 minutes.

Drive home is normally 15 minutes.

I've got you all beat... It takes me from the time I get into my car, to the time I get out, roughly 1 minute... hehe less than a mile from my house :)

30-45 minutes (Including a stop at Day care to drop off my son).

I've not driven this route in winter yet, but past experience with Michigan winters is the commute could take anywhere from 30 minutes to 4 hours.

My commute is about 8 miles each way. Takes upwards of 40 minutes by car if traffic is bad (as it usually is) and 30 minutes on the nose by bicycle. Needless to say, I almost never drive. I always arrived at work completely aggravated at having been stuck in stop/go traffic for most of my commute (a real bitch when you drive a stick in a hilly city like Atlanta) so I just gave it up. I stuff my clothes for the day in my pack and grab a shower when I get to work (there are showers/lockers in several of the buildings here at the CDC). It kinda sucks when the weather's bad, but it's still not as annoying as driving.

This was definitely a factor in choosing where to buy a house, BTW. As pointed out by dmcowen above, the interstate traffic here is unbelievably bad so we bought a smaller house intown primarily to avoid being part of the daily suburban lemming/commuter crowd. I'd love to have a bigger house, but the extra 1-2 hours I don't spend in the car every day is worth the tradeoff.
