a long time due to scsi 🙂 probably longer than yours. usually in the morning i just come in, hit the power button, do my morning stuff and then leave it on all day so i am not too worried about it.

my fastest booter is a p3 550MHz w/ 256MB of ram running my https site 😀

gotta love scsi - but when it is on it runs like a raped ape 😀

Yes it takes mine very long too.

I made a video of it here

The Areca with 2GB of cache is fast and does 1.6GB/Sec reads and writes!

You don't have to remove .NET totally, you can just remove the .NET user that is created when .NET is installed.

I have the same problem people described above - i.e. I've installed the .NET framework and now I have to select my username each time I restart or turn on my computer (which is annoying and inconvenient). How do I go about removing the .NET user, and will this have any impact on the .NET framework (for example will it affect certain programs that I require which need the framework in order to run)?

I have no idea how removing the .NET user would otherwise affect the rest of the installed .NET framework, but I presume you'd remove the .NET user from the Users Accounts Control Panel.

I've never timed it but I'm guessing it's around 50 seconds. I normally just press the power button, go take a whiz, come back and it's done.
