how long does it take to connect to dell technical support for god's sake?

id imagine its pretty chaotic since they are dealing with the effects of a natural disaster, assuming your call was routed to india.

edit: guess not.

edit 2: eh, maybe.

well it's daytime in india, so one would think so

check your facts, Dell closed its Indian call centers a year ago. They are back in the USA now

call dell home support up.

they moved support back for important customers. not peons.

well I just read somewhere today where Dell moved its call centers back to USA due to bad service in India. did not know about the new ones

PcMag newest issue. Dell is horrible in customer service. They complained they cannot understand english very well in India and it is difficult to understand what is going on. As for technical support they read off a sheet and the magazine said they probably have very limited knowledge of the problem. A call to someone in the U.S solved the problem in a matter of minutes.

Newest issue of Pcmag. Read it today at the library.

You are screwed

never ever heard that. They did open some US call center for business/corporate customers but Dell's call center was always firmly rooted in India

are they even open?

It is disturbing you have a problem with your router that can't be fixed.
You couldn't goggle an answer?
Or ask ATOT?
Or find answer at other forums?

YIKES!!

I've been delaying calling dell over a bad power supply... kid's computer won't work without it..

Dell business support was moved back to the US from India because of the bad service. Dell home support remained in India because of cost savings.

If you happen to be a Dell business customer with gold support your call will be answered in less than 5 minutes by someone in Texas. If you don't happen to be one of those people, haha!
