How long does it take Photoshop 6 to load on your machine?

i just want to make sure there's nothing horribly wrong with my machine.... it takes 7-8 seconds on mine.

i have a 1.4 tbird, 512 2100 ddr, 120 wd with 8 mb cache

According to my roommate who did PS support, PS7 should take 10-15% longer than PS6.

i was just worried... i upgraded from a standard 2 mb cache hd a few months ago, and just didn't notice a very big change 🙁 that combined with the slowness of dreamweaver mx just made me suspicious

Photoshop 7.0...Yank. It's not anywhere near as stable and I constantly get program errors.

ANYWAY, back to the subject, and for your answer: It takes about A little under 7 seconds on my 2.4 P4.

15 seconds for Photoshop 7 on an 800mhz duron processor machine running windows xp pro with 256MB of ram and off a 40GB Maxtor 5,400RPM hard disk. Does that sound reasonable?
