How long does it take Newegg to refund a canceled order?

Last night I bought several items off Newegg when I realized I got the items wrong. I canceled the order while it was in "step 2" and after I received the "you've been successfully charged" email. They say the card will be refunded in 2-3 days.

I'm wondering if I should be safe to place the order again. I'm using a debit card and I only have enough money to cover the charges I want, so if both show at the time time then I'm screwed. In the past, I've noticed most places will automatically refund the card, so that by the time I re-order, the original charge would have already been refunded before the new charge appears.

What would you do in my position? I'm hesitant to wait because I'm anxious to start building my new computer. All my other parts have been ordered already.
 
You should be fine, but....... there are plenty of stories out there where consumers are still charged and actually receive items they canceled.
To be safe, I would ensure that you see the credit on your account before proceeding.
 
i ordered my dvdrw drive without the 5 free dvd's, so i canceled it when it was at step 2, and reordered it along with a few other things. i placed/canceled the order on friday, i called on monday to confirm everything and the csr said "it seems that you havent been credited back yet, ill forward it to our xxxx department" on thursday the money was in my account. just call them.
 
I've ordered a number of things from newegg and several times had to call about something, and they were so good and so fast. One time they refunded me for a $90 item that failed after 3 months of use. No questions asked, boom! it was done. I have been nothing but happy with them. Call them
