I've had good luck with amazon's marketplace thing. I've purchased a few hardcover copies of books very cheaply and great condition. ymmv I suppose. Ebay has worked well for me also, but amazon usually has a better selection.

3 secs....grab each cover side, whip into air and snap back. You now have a paperback.

Best prices on books: www.addall.com (also Video and Music)

That's what I'd say too. But normally you can call a bookstore and they can look it up and see when they'll be getting in the other version.

I personally wait for paperbacks because they're easier to read. I wish they'd come out with paperback's first.

Oh well.

typically a year, though with fast selling books it can take longer. da vinci code took forever to come out on paperback (everyone was amazed at my paperback, which i bought in england in 2004. of course, paperbacks there cost as much as hard bound books here, so no real savings)

If it's been out a few months then check out a used/discount book store. They have this place called Half Off books near me that has new over printed stuff for cheap and people bring in boxes of books to sell them all the time.

doubt that included shipping...best price shipped on addall is $15.98 from Overstock.com though. Walmart shows $16.66 and Amazon for $17.36 shipped.

The weird thing is that once the paperback version come out for like $12, all the hardbacks go on sale for like $8. I don't get book stores
