How long does food poisoning take to kick in?

Are you sure it's food poisoning? Could it be Irritable Bowel Syndrome?

I thought IBS would happen often? This bout of diarheaa and vomitting occured only after I took two dinner plates in.

I'm ok now, I have been sleeping the entire day. Thanks for all the info.
