If PC in same room then it depends on the loudness.
Its quite difficult to get to sleep with 100cfm going on.
 
I run my 1.33@1.5 T-bird and my P3-500 24/7 because they are always crunching SETI.

I hope those of you that run your rigs 24/7 are helping the AnandTech SETI team beat the pants off of DSLReports. There's quite a race going on, and we need all the help we can get. Please Join Us, it's actually pretty fun. 🙂

24/7 Baby! For those turner offers that fell like they'll be getting more life out of their parts with them physically off...relax...how about having window do it for you? Right click on you desktop, select properties, go to the screensavers tab and there under power and advanced you will find your little helper. Help with everything you're worried about wearing out including your hard drive and monitor. Maybe you even have a hibernation in case you have any shut off withdrawls...use this first... 😉
 
I only leave my computer on if I'm running SETI, which I'm doing now. And I'll be leaving it on for another 6 weeks until we beat DSLR. 🙂
