How long do you keep your shirts?

What's the average service life of the shirts you guys wear? Not longer-lasting stuff like formalwear, just casual everyday t-shirts.

2 - 3 years... after that they generally sit around for another 2 - 3 years, will wear them sometimes inside the house only...

i have shirts i still wear i had 15 years ago when i was in HS

i throw them away when they get to worn out to wear for yard work.

if they are clothes i like, basically until they fall apart. i am 30, regularly wear clothes from HS. i have one T-shirt i can trace back to Jr High.

for clothes i dont like, havent worn in a while, or dont fit well, ill donate. but no specific time frame.

dress shirts or the undertees?

I throw away undershirts every year or so since I wear em alot and hate yellow armpits.

I have dress shirts and tux shirts that are a decade old and still awesome.

I have some Joeseph a banks wrinkle free dress shirts that I wear alot that are 5 years old now and still look good. Cant believe it.

Not dress shirts. Or undershirts. Just shirts that you'd wear to go to the grocery store or something. Casual, but not like the casual at-home two-sizes-too-big shirts. Although I agree, my dress shirts have held up remarkably well.

I buy my polos from Lands' end and they last for many years, at least 3-4. When the cuffs on long sleeves get worn I'll still wear them around the apartment,

I usually get tired of the shirt before it wears out. Only shirt that came close to wearing out was an H&M short sleeved button-up. That lasted a good 3 years probably. My current "record" shirt is just a simple white, striped button-up that I've been wearing for 3 years. Still feels and looks fine.

I wear shirts until they rip in half.

Now, Boxers, I've been going through like crazy. Problem is that my thighs are fucking gigantic compared to my waist size, and anything that fits me rips in half at the thigh area. Boxer Briefs have been a decent compromise, but they're real expensive.

Until they wear out usually. Length of time varies, some last a couple years, others barely make it a year. Seems like the graphic tees I buy from Walmart/Old Navy for 8 bucks last longer than the ~$30 ones I buy from other places.
