How long do you guys think an RMA should take?

I RMAed a bad motherboard to zipzoomfly and they received it on the 9th of Dec. I emailed them after about 5 days after they received it and they said it normally takes 7-10 days for a credit to be issued AFTER they receive the product. Does that seem long to you? I mean, when I go to Fry's and return a product, I DEFINITELY don't expect for them to say, "we'll credit your account in 7-10 days." Why should this be any different. I'll give them 3 days to process the return, but that should be enough. WTH are they doing in that 7-10 day span? I paid with a credit card, NOT a check! :|

7-10 days, that does suck! I would assume they need to have someone check the board to make sure it was not damaged due to user error. They probably have one tech that works 4 hours a week

I am waiting on EPoX for a replacement myself I hope they dont take too long, I need my gaming rig back..

O/T: My first post here, this seems like a pretty good site, some over at EOCF come here so I thought I'd check it out.

I thought it was a long time. WTF is wrong with these people? My two favorite sites to buy PC parts were newegg and zzf, now it may be down to just newegg. :|

And Blastoid, one word of advise, stay away from the P&N forum.

I have seen hard drive RMA's come back in a few days - but on motherboards - usually a little longer. Never knew why though. I believe someone said earlier that the time was for checking out the mobo to see whats wrong with it - which is understood. Im sure your motherboard isnt the only one there that they are looking at. But then again - 7-10 days is a while - especially after the 5 day period they had it. gl and I hope you get your mobo soon.

If you go into Fry's, and you are returning a mobo, would 7-10 days seem acceptable? I'd be like, "WTF? 7-10 days?!" But hey, I'm a nice guy, I think 3 days would be acceptable. What they are doing in the 7-10 day span I have no idea. I know it's not crediting my account! :|

And let me tell you, I made sure everything was perfect when I sent it back to them. And in the request for the RMA, I described EXACTLY what problems I was having with the board. I didn't want to leave alot of guess work up to them so I could avoid something like this. Anyway...

Edit: Oh look at this, I just checked the status of my RMA online and what do you know...STILL SHOWING Processing Return. It's been like that since the 9th. :| I guess they are going to wait 'til the last day. :|
