How long do orders take for dell?

Ordered 2 monitors on friday 2/14 at noon. Paypal shows "pending" and I did not get another email showing a ship date. When I placed the order it showed 2/17 ship date.

Is this common for dell to just ship a little slow?
 
Valentine's Day and Presidents day.........I was not aware they were closed.

On the first email, it stated "Within 24 hours, you should receive an Order Confirmation e-mail that will
contain your Estimated Delivery Date, your customer number and your order number(s)."

Being I have not recevied this second email, makes me think something may be wrong. If a holiday delayed the ship date, great, but it should have come thru by now....right?

Give them a few days. When you place your order, they typically will ship things out if they have them in the warehouse. Occasionally, they have to pull inventory from somewhere else to fill orders and that can delay orders a week or so. At the same time, they sometimes have items closer to you and can fill orders even faster than what you'd think or what they quote you.

I ordered a TV from them in December. The TV was supposed to be delivered a week after I ordered it. FedEx delivered it 2 days later....

Be patient.

they are horrible, do a search with google and you will see that they get a lot complaints about how long they take to ship stuff. i ordered some stuff for my venue 11 tablet i bought on amazon and the only way it got shipped was me contacting their customer support to ask what was taking so long. i suggest you email their customer support, do not call them as that is giant waste of time.

Some companies follow UPS holidays. So if UPS is closed, they're closed.

However, it's a little surprising that you haven't received anything yet. Feel free to give the a call to check on your order.
 
I think I found one issue on my end. I did a google search for U2414H and followed the link to purchase it. It was linked thru "WORK" on the dell website instead of thru "HOME". So therefore it asked for a company name, and I just put my name in twice. Do you think that would matter? Like I said this was the first time I have ordered thru dell directly.

Not for me, I've ordered several things from Dell's business site for personal use.
 
The Inspiron 660s I ordered from Dell January 2nd shipped within a day.
I was ordering for a business.
I've never figured out why Dell makes a distinction between home or work. Do they charge you more, or just market themselves differently?

Dell is not newegg or amazon...patience my young Jedi!!
 
The one and only time I purchased anything from Dell, it was well over a month from the time the order was placed until it arrived.
 
I always order from whatever is cheaper between he business side and the personal side.
I've always received Dell orders way before the estimated delivery date, but it's been a few years.
 
Well I got screwed. When buying from dells website and if you pick paypal, when you are directed to paypal'ss site and then directed back, the order gets screwed up / lost completely. They are looking into fixing this issue, so in the meantime, don;t use paypal.......use a credit card.

So the order never existed in dells eyes. After calling they booked a new order and all is well. Got the proper email with an order number this time.

Has anyone else had this issue with paypal?
 
I have with another online retailer a really long time ago. I don't recall who they were or what I was trying to buy, but I basically had to re do my whole order.

Since then, I only use Paypal for ebay and sometime Newegg.

FWIW, when I orderd my Vostro (sig) from Dell around 08 or 09, it took a little more than a week to arrive.

NewEgg is no better than Dell.

Typically, I can order from NewEgg and Amazon (using prime) and have the Amazon shipment at my house by the time NewEgg notifies me that it has shipped.
