Why don't you just get some protein shakes or supplements or something if thats all you're worried about?

I have those. I need to eat six times a day, shakes account for two, sometimes three. I need regular food that is cheap and has protein. I now understand why poor people get fat. Eating healthy is expensive.

I can't afford to eat salmon, steak, and chicken every day though. If there is anything else out there that has as much protein as cottage cheese and is just as cheap or cheaper, please let me know...
In terms of grams protein/dollars, you'll have a tough time beating a regular whey concentrate powder as a protein source. But I prefer to eat a variety of foods.

Walmart nonfat cottage cheese (green container) is the only brand I've found so far that doesn't make me gag. All the others have that wierd cottage cheese taste that I can't stand, the Walmart store brand seems to have less of that.

I like to mix whey protein powder in with it to raise the protein % and make it more palatable. 1 scoop per cup of cottage cheese works for me. It's ugly looking but it tastes pretty good. Fruit flavors seem to work best, when I try chocolate it just ends up like ass.

Cottage cheese rocks. I could eat a whole container at once (but don't). Good on crackers too.

I probably eat about 2lbs of cottage cheese a day. Try mixing it with canned pineapple or oranges.
:Q Doesn't that clog you up?

MMMMMMMM Cottage cheese.

I eat it plain

With pepper and garlic powder. With toast.

Plain ground beef, cottage cheese, and hot sauce.

I eat the 2% kind. Fat free stuff is garbage
