I'm trying to eat healthier, but I can't stand the taste of cottage cheese. It's a good, cheap source of protein though. How long do I need to eat it before I get used to the taste? Assuming I eat 2 fist sized portions a day. This also applies ot other healthy food, such as egg whites, skim milk, etc.

lol. wtf?
I used to also hate cottege cheese, but love it now. Try mixing the fruit in (lots) to hide the flavor, then slowly keep adding less and less of thr fruit until you've got just cottage cheese. Same with skim milk, mix it with 1% or 2% and just reduce the porition as you get used to it.

I never had a problem with cottage cheese, as long as i have some fruit in it. I didn't think it was that healthy though, it still had a lot of calories and fat and all that stuff. For skim milk, I drank whole milk my entire life and then decided to switch...so i went down to 2%, then 1%, and within a few weeks i was drinking skim, and now i dont like whole milk as much. Its good that you're eating healthier though, I wish I had that willpower...

I can't afford to eat salmon, steak, and chicken every day though. If there is anything else out there that has as much protein as cottage cheese and is just as cheap or cheaper, please let me know...

I probably eat about 2lbs of cottage cheese a day. Try mixing it with canned pineapple or oranges.

Why don't you just get some protein shakes or supplements or something if thats all you're worried about?

Nixon ate cottage cheese with catsup.

Don't ask me why - maybe a tomato deficiency, but it sounds awful.

Get whole grain bread. There is one here made with various seeds and crap. 2 slices had like 9g protein.
Drink skim milk 3 times a day. Keep up with the cottage cheese. Buy some whey protein mix at GNC or wherever and use it twice per day. Eat chunky soup w/ extra beef for dinner... 20g for $1.5

Ummm not sure what else. I usually have 100g of smoked beef in my lunch sandwich so I score protein (probably 20g?) that way too ;)
