just wondering......

how long did it take you guys to graduate your university? I"m talking w/ just a standard 4 year bachelors degree.

It seems kind of wierd because a majority of my friends, whatever major they are, take longer then 4 years....even though they dont take breaks, and some even take summer classes...

so I want to get a majority of atot...

also, please state your major.....

I graduated with a degree in accounting. it took me 4.5 years. but, because of the 150 credit hour requirement to graduate it took me a little extra time a summer courses. plus i worked as a bartender 3-4 nights a week.

A shade over four years for my first degree (Spanish) with minors in Biology and Chemistry and another two for my second degree (Computer Science) with a minor in Mathematics (two courses short of a double-major). I was working fulltime throughout most of college which didn't allow me to take a full course load every quarter.

My husband and I both crammed our four year college education into 5 years. We married after junior year and then alternated one working, one going to school until graduation. His degree history, mine mathematics.

This day in age, nobody ever gets out in 4 years unless:

1. You're a genius

2. You attend school year round

3. You take 18 units every semester and you also attend summer school

4. You don't work cause you can't considering your school load

5. You don't plan on having a social life (i.e. maybe friends here and there...definitely no girlfriend)

I bet most people who graduated in 4 years or longer had some sort of exception with the above statements.

If you want to get out within 4 years you've got to remain completely focus at the task at hand and not allow any distractions.

1. 2 credits, does not go towards graduation requirements.
2. I have summer/winter spring breaks
3. No summer school
4. I work around 15 hours a week
5. Have friends, have girlfriend.

That's not enough to consider someone a genius.

4 years, EE. Hell, most of the school graduates in 4 years. I would assume many universities are like this.

3.5 years in computer science. Had 3 AP credits in physics. Decided to take extra class each semester to graduate earlier. Saved my parents around 9 grand.

Smart move.

15 years and running. Need a sophomore level class to graduate, oh well, maybe when I get some time.😉 My only goal is to beat my first born (gives me 8-9 years cushion🙂)

Went to a tech school, tested out of 6 months because of college courses I took in high school, school went year round. 2 years, 9 months including the 3 month gap between associates and bachelors programs.

Edit: 1st day of class was 3 days after the last day of high school. (Saturday, Sunday, and the day I did the testing)

This is the beginning of my fourth year, it will probably take me 5 years. Work full time, one semester had a bunch of issues going on, had to drop to 9 hours, hurt me =( BTW, I am a Public Relations major, marketing minor.
