How long can you tolerate your rig being dicked up?
LOL, brace yourself for some dyslexic outrage concerning your asking how long your "dick can be rigged up"?

My PC suddenly froze... reboot... no POST... it was 3am and I stayed up till 4am trying to figure out why. Woke up at 7am... continued to mess with it... swapped CPUs with another machine and the whole bit. Finally found out the mobo is dead...

Even though I RMAd the mobo, it would take a week to get here.. can't have that. I went to MicroCenter the next day and bought a refurb... stuck it in... used it for a week.. then my RMA got here... put that one in... and returning the MicroCenter board in a couple days. I had a laptop to fall back on but I wasn't having it. You tell me how badly I need this rig running. Lots of media to record, cut, and post... no laptop can help me there.

My system crashes repeatedly until it warms up. I think it's a problem with the motherboard, because I've already swapped out the PSU.

When I turn it on, I usually let it sit in the BIOS menu for a few minutes before letting Windows boot. Basically, I treat it like an old car on a cold morning.

About a week. Lost my primary hard drive unexpectedly sometime while I was sleeping a couple of weeks ago (the fvcker) and finally got unlazy enough to put a new HD in and reinstall everything. I could go on and on but I won't.

That would drive me out of my mind.
I have to put my install cd in the dvd drive just so I can boot.
I could get away with that forever if I wanted to, but it makes me want to bang my head on the wall.

i'm working on a peice of crap right now. fscking ECS mini atx peices of sh1t motherboards. i can't believe people buy this stinking crap.

i think i am dealing with a borked motherboard. :| i'm so pissed right now. HD and PSU are both new... this system is randomly locking up / shutting down. i can't even get to the repair console. i really hate computers right now.
