I was banned off the comp for the whole month of June due to my poor grades(at least by my parents standards.) When I got to use it on the last day of school I had to relearn how to use my mouse. Now im on the comp 24/7

Hmm... I thought it would be a problem last month when I was away for 2 weeks - most of it where there was no electricity, no phone, TV, radio, anything. Went OK, I was surprised.

I was going to say that I wasn't at all dependant on my PC, until I realised that there isn't a 48 period in the last two years when I haven't used a computer.

I can give it up any time I like, honest ...

I can go maybe a day or so. Much more than that and I have to spend way too much time getting caught up on email and the various online goings-on.

I have computers at home and at work. I have a laptop with a hookup to my cell phone in my truck. Get the picture? :)

When I go on vacation, I can get online via the laptop.

I can't stay long without my computer. That's why I bought this Gateway Solo 9300 XL. I use notebook when I travel.

I will live. :)

If I had to use a 486 again, then soon or later, I would go mad out of frustration of accessing something then changing my mind to do something else and it takes several minutes for any descent operation.

A noticeable performance I noticed when I switched from a 686L Cyrix to a P2 400. :)
