I only have a laptop right now, and even that stays on 24/7 crunching on SoB, unless the cats decide it's a great place to sleep, in which case I'll close the laptop. My server stayed on 24/7, and it was restarted every month or two, sometimes going for up to 4 months.

Client Web server: 19:59:28 up 340 days, 18:32, 3 users, load average: 0.45, 0.30, 0.10

I can beat that:

Customer WebSphere development Linux server:

20:07:27 up 427 days, 4:13, 2 users, load average: 0.00, 0.01, 0.00

Customer VMWare ESX development host system:

7:15pm up 404 days, 10:17, 1 user, load average: 0.08, 0.02, 0.00

That ESX box is really busy during the week, since it hosts 8 Windows servers. I'm a bit behind on security patches on that box, though... Gotta put that on my to do list :)

bah, too bad RAM isn't hot plugable or else we might have a contest ;) Nice work though!
I can't compete. None of the client's servers are in very clean environments, and I have to blow out the dust every 9 months or so.

If someone had a mainframe, they could kick all of our asses. Those things are built for ZERO downtime and a 20 year service life. They have hot-pluggable everything, including RAM and CPU's. They also cost more than my house, though :)

I had NT boxes on my work network that were up for over two years. People put it down these days, but NT was incredibly stable when you gave it hardware it liked. It helped that we weren't constantly installing security updates and patches like we do with XP now.

Can't seem to keep the iMac up for more than a week or two without restarting it for one reason or another. I have it doing an awful lot, though.

I kept my A64 rig running Prime95 Large FFT's for more than 52hrs once with out a restart, normally I shut it off before I go to bed, but I suspect that my A64 rig could run for much much longer without needing any restarts, it's just plain rock solid.

I reboot every ~2 weeks of so. Ussually only because I install something that needs a reboot IE new ATI drivers or some other application.
