Nope I aint gonna pay because its a greddy creditor that probably paid $2 for the account NOT the original company. I though you guys knew better.
You're pathetic.
And so are collection agencys. They break the law hundreds of times daily to get their money. Now morally yes he owes the money, but guess what, even IF he pays it... the original creditor will never see a penny of that money.
They already did when they sold the loan. Collection Agencies hire dick heads who act like pricks, because they deal _all day_ with useless deadbeat piece of crap who deserve no better treatment. If people's parents had of instilled even the most basic sense of right and wrong they'd be unlikely to find a creditor knocking down their door in the first place.

AGREED....never had a creditor knocking on my door- and if you have'nt been worthless now or at some point in your life- you never will..

- I know there are some exceptions to this...as one has already been mentioned but overall it holds true...

Next time they call, tell them to stop or you will file suit against them for harassment.

I think this guy understands that he fvcked up and should be worried about his future. And I believe if he agrees to anything with this collection agency that will possibly screw his credit.

Personally, if I were him, I couldn't sleep at night knowing I stiffed somebody, so I ask him to take the money he owes, tack on another 100 dollars and give it to some worthy charity.

Bent valve, the law of limitations says 7 years for any illegal offense before you can no longer be presecuted for it. How ever with debt they can go after you til you die and even then they can place a claim against your estate. Bottom line PAY THEM or you will never get any peace. I have been through the whole bad credit thing for the last 5 years. I just got my first credit card in 5 years 2 months ago. Believe me I know how these things go.

CCs and other companies PREY on college students. IMHO alot of them act unethical by giving the vast majority of college students CCs hoping their parents pay off their debts. Thats what CCs do, and typically the risks of giving college students CCs does pay off because parents usually bail their kids out.

Are the CC companies forcing these adults to go to the store and purchase goods and services?
