How long before physical throttle linkages are mandated?

tard, you understand that DBW is what is needed in order to get the boost in fuel economy all cars need so badly? Oh and don't act like sticky throttles weren't an issue before this.

Uh... lol

The 1st gen Insight has a traditional wired throttle, and gets the best fuel economy of any production car.. ever.

It really shouldn't make any difference.

How about having the computer force the throttle into fully released mode (just like if you have taken your foot off the throttle pedal) when the computer senses any brake application even if it is stuck to the floor?

Possibly include an override mode for testing purposes, like torque converter stall tests, using the manufacturers scan tool and only release the throttle if the computer senses movement through the speed sensor.
