professors tell me it this way
sure china is doing a lot of manufacturing etc for our country but in the end they aren't making much out of it either, or else why would we be doing our jobs there. Eventually their wages and cost of living would be near ours, and guess what we'll move to another poorer country maybe somewhere in Africa.

also they're having their own funding problems themselves with loans and what not so its not all a rosy capitalism party over there

the rich get richer and the poor well - stay poor or get poorer.

"You are so much better than the people who shop at Wal*Mart"

Also, they provide a link to ATOT so we can make sure to get our monthly thread about why Target is better than Walmart

Wasn't this the same type of gloom & doom people were trying to sell about Japan in the 80's & early 90s?

I wonder paleontologists what will think in thousands of years when they examine ancient artifacts. What was this "China" thing? A deity they worshipped? Some great and powerful nation which controlled the entire planet?
Or just some central production region that made most of the world's goods and stamped its name on everything? :)

I think "Made in China" is pretty self-explanatory.

uuhhhhh....

just because we are outsourcing jobs to china does not mean that they are not replaced here in the US.

If you look at the hard numbers, we actually are making more jobs than we are outsourcing every year
