How likely is this a random bug, or an employee having a laugh?

When the word "microbrew" appear a text message, the phone freezes and crashes.

How likely is this to be a random coincidence? Is it more likely an employee decided to a have a laugh and planted this "easter egg" for everyone?

How likely is this to be a random coincidence that such a string of letters could cause this, and that these string of letters actually formed a word? Is it more likely an employee decided to a have a laugh and planted this "easter egg" for everyone.

Obviously the Samsung instinct is a product for degenerates like maids and butlers. I use them as coasters in the servants quarters.

Good Lord ICRS, you've broken your cardinal rule of posting an inane topic and never returning to it. Does this signify a critical juncture of lulz seeking? Will the intarweb ever be the same? Will the phone confess? Stay tuned for further details of the epic adventures of basement man!

How often does the word "microbrew" come up in a text messaging conversation for everyone? For me I dont think it ever has, and I send/receive about 1,000 texts each month.

I've been thinking about getting this phone too, but I'm waiting for the HTC Diamond to come out, to see how much its going to cost

I wish we had a sub forum for cell phones or gadgets.

Oh well, we can dream. Besides, if we had one you'd probably be too embarrassed to go into it or be seen around it.

Well if any of my friends have or will end up getting an Instinct I will program microbrew as a quick response message and text them a few times a day. I might even go as far as to figure out how to program a macro to do it automatically, just in case being an asshole slips my mind and I don't remember to intentially text them to crash their phone.

I think I know somebody with this phone, they just got it. I will make them crazy lol.

Holy crap! My boss just got this phone!

I love my boss. She's awesome... and completely helpless when it comes to tech. This is one of the better things that have happened to me in some time.

Do they actually get the SMS or does the phone lock up before they're able to read it? I found somebody who has an Instinct and set up a macro in Eudora to email him once every hour tomorrow starting at 8AM, now if he can read the text he might catch on but if it locks up the phone before he can open it, GOOD TIMES!

Well you know what, even if he does read it I think assuming the text "microbrew" would cause the phone to lock up would be a pretty big assumption. Maybe I'll set up the macro to run all weekend lol.
