How lazy have we become that we ignore doctors now?

OK I just read this...

"Weight loss can be an effective way to prevent and treat type II diabetes, the most common form of the disease. But many diabetics instead fight the disease with drugs."
http://www.cnn.com/2007/HEALTH...betes.drugs/index.html

So a doctor says you can treat it by not eating McJunk food or Dunkin round lard wheels and exercise a little. Of course they have drugs that will help but you will still be sick and die... Then the person says yea... lets have those drugs that sounds way better then your "exercise" advise. I trust drug companies know best and they don;t sell that BS you call "exercise".

I agree. However, I think laziness is just a portion of the fact. People who have type II diabetes are the ones that cannot forgo their eating habits, meaning for some strange reason not enough will power. I can relate because I myself am trying to implement a new lifestyle/diet change these past few weeks and it's been difficult because I have been see-sawing back and forth with my old habits and my new changes.
