If you're talking about what I think you're talking about, 1 day is nothing. Stress and other factors can also cause that. Just wait it out or take a test.

if you're early, you're on time
if you're on time, you're late
and if you're late, you're dead.

If you worry about it, it can cause more stress and further delay it. How late is late...well, I keep my fox out of the chicken coop, but late still happens. Once it was 2 weeks, another time 3 months. The 3 months one had me pretty shook up. So wait about 89 more days and then decide. Also, if you/she is pregnant, there are a LOT of other symptoms you should look for. Look up pregnancy symptoms in a search engine if you want to find them. Vomiting is a biggie. Maybe try pregnancy.com or babycenter.com, both probably have info. Good luck with your child!

No matter if she is preggers or not, you need to exercise more caution in the future. The fact that you are even worried about it means that you've done something wrong. Find a Planned Parenthood in your area, get her tested (and both of you tests for STDs if you have had multiple partners), and then get her on the pill. If you use it correctly, you won't need to ever ask that question.

Relax for right now though. Depending on her age and history of her cycle, 1 day shouldn't be a big deal. If she is more than a week late, I would suggest heading for PP. If she isn't 18, then suck it up and talk to her parents and yours. If you are over 18, then, well, don't drop the soap.

Edit: Sorry about the cycle comment... I've hung out with WAY too many girls.
