I was visiting family in FL over the weekend and doing a run along the causeway when I saw this happening...

apparently, it has a top speed of 50 mph.

Why?!? Only in Floriduh.

If you want to be on the water, drive a boat, not get dragged over the water in a fake car.
If you want to be IN the water or actually water ski, then water ski. This is like a racecar bed for adults afraid to get wet.

The car drives under it's own power and I'm pretty sure the inhabitants get wet.

Yeah, I was under the impression that it just got dragged behind a separate boat (from original OP info). Which made the premise seem quite silly. I guess it's slightly better now...still silly imo.

It's just a jet boat that looks like a car. 50 mph is incredibly slow, familiy had a jet boat in the 1970's that did over 80 mph. I'm sure they do better now.
