Been using a samsung focus as my primary device since November of last year..

I had a brief stint with a Galaxy S II but went back to my Focus after I put the Mango beta on it.

For "old" hardware, it really sings with Mango on it.

I would have to think that anyone who thinks WP7 is "difficult to use" has not actually used it.

Mango passes the "mom test".. i.e. I can hand it to my mother and she can use it without explanation.

I am ok with 3GS but the latest iOS is making 3GS feels bit slow. I can wait until Sept when the new iPhone comes out.

I've noticed my 3GS really gets bogged down by certain actions now. Not sure why, I've rebooted and reset the phone but I just chalk it up to the current software not being designed with this hardware in mind.

Unfortunately I don't and won't have the money for a replacement phone until at least october or november so I just deal with it's little quirks for now. Not sure I want another apple product though, might spring over to Android and honestly might jump off AT&T network as well. I only get a 17% discount at my current job versus 23% with Verizon. I guess just depends on the cheapest family plan I can get with me and the wife.

Haha. What if you downclock the processor? Guess I should try that on the Thunderbolt. To me these phones are already fast enough. I hardly play games cause the screen is so small, and nothing I use seems to struggle running.

In fact videos and flash run far better on my phone than on my asus transformer. Actually I'd say that pretty much everything does other than games.

Actually Android automatically clocks the CPU for the current task. When you arent doing anything it goes all the way down to 125MHz. When you are doing something it takes the clock up where it needs to be. If you manually limit the clock plan on having issues, like crap video.

Got a launch EVO, still running strong. Had been trying a lot of those Sense 2.1/3.0 roms out there and wasn't satisfied with the speed once I got all my apps installed. Wound up going with an AOSP rom with a much smaller footprint (Decks GB ftw)!

Looking forward to the Samsung Within. I may even try and hold out for the next Nexus phone since it will more than likely be ICS ready outta the box.

My Droid X1 and Droid 1 are holding up nice. Looks...the Droid X1 has been beat up pretty bad. My Droid 1 looks like the newer phone.

Numerous drops for both phones....the DX1 looks like it was thrown down instead of dropped...lol and both are still working fine.

I got my Droid 1 in March of last year, DX1 in July.

My 2 year+ 3GS is working great - looks just about brand new if I take off the cover and screen protector. I have it Jailbroken and a tethering app installed, and that has come in handy many times. The best thing about it is the battery life - I can leave it on a desk all day, and there is barely a dent in the battery. I've squeezed 3 days out of it on trips. My wife's phone (Android 2.2) sucks battery while just sitting idle.

So my 2 years is up, and I'd like a new faster phone. I'm not against getting an Android phone, but I don't want to have crappy battery life. And it doesn't make sense to get an iPhone 4, with iPhone 5 coming out soon.

My iPhone 4 will be 1 year old in a few days, and it looks brand new. I've always had a case on it (Speck Pixelskin HD) but no screen protector.

I'll probably upgrade a year from now when I'm eligible for a full subsidy from Rogers. The phone has Applecare until then anyways.

Overclocked Nexus One still going strong. Pristine condition thanks to the supplied neoprene pouch and rocking CM7 Nightlies. Love this phone so much :)

Bought a My Touch 3G during a TMo service renewal 20 months ago. The phone had been working fine until about a week ago. Normal cell battery standby was on the order of 5-8 days depending on any calls, my playing some games of Sudoku, etc. I rarely use the 3G/data service.

Then a problem developed when a fully charged cell phone would discharge in 12 hours or less. I conducted some observations on the 2.5-3 hour recharging effort and the 12 hour discharging anomaly. In each case 98% of battery consumption was Cell Standby and 2% Cell Idle.

Yesterday, I fully charged the phone, shut it off and removed the battery for 7 hours. When I put the battery back in the battery was still fully charged. I left as-is and got the 15% battery charge remaining warning after about 8.5 hours. Again, 98% of battery consumption was Cell Standby and 2% Cell Idle.

Next test will be to fully recharge it and power off the hone but leave the battery in the phone. After 7-12 hours I'll turn it back on and see if the battery is fully charged or drained a healthy fraction (or depleted). If it is fully charged on this test I'll perform a reset and see where that get's me.

The phone originally came with ANDROID 1.5 or older, and around the start of the year I updated to Froyo (2.2?). There have been no calls, text messages, no application installs or updates--phone literally sat there-- in the past week.

I would not recommend this phone, nor any HTC products. What good is a phone is it cannot last two years (for the contract). I see myself having to replace it with a $30 GSM-only phone until my contract is up. I am not renewing my TMo contract, because of the AT&T merger.

This is my first and last 3G phone.

Had my Droid Incredible since launch, it's held up pretty well. I've had a few annoyances such as my texts randomly getting wiped, random reboots, and crappy battery. But it still runs fine. Starting to feel sluggish though.

Original Droid since 1/1/10 running flawless as usual. She is going to make one heck of a mp3 and game player if the Bionic does not disappoint.

For all of you RIM haters out there.......

I had my Bold 9700 for about 15 months until I retired it for the 9780 so that I could run OS6. Heavy, daily use during that time. Dropped onto cement and hard floor multiple times. Has been sent sailing across the room on more than one occasion. Even gotten it pretty wet on a few occasions and it has never hiccupped. A lot of tests you can find on the internet support the idea that these BB are more likely to survive an attempted drowning than just about any other phone. Boxed it and kept it as a backup until June.

My GF never could see the point of paying for a smartphone, but I finally talked her into at least trying it. Everything functions like it was brand new. Still on the original battery and she gets 2 days out of it with moderate internet and texting use. I replaced the entire body and keyboard (about $20 on Amazon) and now it looks as new as it runs. She's never more than 3 feet from it, now.

The apps are WEAK compared to iOS and Android, but the two that I've had are as close to bulletproof as you can get without actually being bulletproof and the batteries just don't wear out, either. I'll take the "older" tech when I know that I won't be sending it back for a replacement every three months. Since these are the "flagship" models, I realize that the lower models might not be as sturdy, but I don't see myself considering a different maker anytime soon.

I get bored of my phone after 6 months too, but I can't afford to buy new phones constantly. I just install new ROMs on my G2 every few months to keep it fresh.
