How is video editing on a Mac Mini?

I know the Mac Mini will transition to a (single core) Intel cpu later this year.

Just curious how smooth video editing on a Mac Mini is using iMovie and iDVD (assume current G4 processor and 512 MB of memory).

I built a custom Windows PC for my dad around Adobe Premier Pro, but he just finds it too complicated.

So I am wondering whether one of these new Mac Mini's will be enough for his video editing needs (especially 512 MB of RAM and presumably a 5400 rpm hard drive).

I'm sure its good. My school used Powermac G4 466mhz computers with Final Cut Pro. They did a decent job. They were on OS 9 too.

Now they are currently using G5's. They barely got rid of the G4's this year. 😉
