I just got an 8.0 GB flash drive (A-Data PD30, supports USB 2.0).
I just copied 1.9 GB worth of photos from my hard drive to the flash drive, and it took 25 minutes. That comes out to 1.3 MB/sec.
Then I copied all of the photos on the flash drive back to my hard drive, and it took 150 seconds, which comes out to 12.7 MB/sec.
What do you think of that performance?
My computer is a HP laptop with a T2400 processor @ 1.83 GHz and 1 GB of RAM.
