How is this PSU?

I have looked at that and it's $91 and has 500watts. I REALLY doubt that i even come close to needing 500 watts.

Ok stop the Fortron BS. It's louder than most PSUs, so I would stick with OCZ or Enermax or Antec if you want it cheap. Antec TRUEPOWER 2.0. wHy do people recommend smartpower anyways? You can get the 430W for $69 (TP2.0).

It is $78 at actbuy last I recalled and it is actually a 460w PSU.

Stop being so ignorant. The Fortron AX500-A is a quiet PSU. Much quieter then any OCZ. Also the TPII's won't draw any air if your cases poses any backpressure to its fan.

Please tell me, what Fortron BS are you talking about?

The fact that Fortrons are used in Dells? The fact that Fortron/Sparkle (same company) makes its own power supply? Can you say the same about the other psu makers you listed?

Antec makes good power supplies. Fortron/Sparkle make great power supplies which are usually cheaper.

some People who run a 6800GT on their systems have a 250W Fortron/Sparkle, not a Antec, OCZ or Enermax. Some people have run even a 6800 Ultra on their 250W Fortrons on their Dells.

The top three psu makers by far are: Power pc and cooling, Fortron/Sparkle and Seasonic.

Well I have my criteria for listing those three

power pc and cooling is a specialist when it comes to power supplies, they have the most power and the strongest rails. if you have the money get them

Fortron/Sparkle has been in the power supply industry for a while, they make great quality products at a reasonable price. you know they will last you a while. that is why Dell uses 250W Fortron/Sparkles in their systems, even the ones with the latest graphics cards

Seasonic has also been in the power supply market for a while. they specialize in effieciency and quietness and reliability. i would consider them also as a top-notch psu maker. you could save a few bucks by going Seasonic as it would cut back your electricity bill. for quietness, power and effieciency, Seasonic is awesome

OCZ and Zippy are also reputable companies which certainly should be considered for any new pc.

just find a good deal, good price because quality psus can be had for a reasonable price.
