i would ditch the extra NIC. the minor performance increase for the cost is certainly not worth it. use the extra cash to get some better speakers

Yeah ditch the Killer NIC. Not really necessary and more of an unnecessary luxury. That money can be better spent on getting another 4GB of RAM and PSU from XFX or Corsair.

How about a Dell XPS 8300 from Dell Outlet with an i5 2300, 6GB, and 1TB. Coupon code T8WBZVPCW9PMB0 and it's $440. Throw in a 6950 for $270, those speakers ($70 at Newegg), and you have a system that's pretty darned close for $780.
The i5 2500k can be overclocked to 4GHz while the i5 2300 will be stuck at 2.8, but it's still a $500 difference. (And it ain't like the i5 2300 is slow)

Agree. A 550W PSU would be perfect for that build, but Cyberpower doesn't like to sell non-overkill PSU setups.
