Keep in mind that your card has an additional four processing pipelines over my card so that gives you a healty advantage despit your system's less powerful processor and memory. Quite frankly I don't care because my system can run BF1942 maxed out with 2xAF just fine.

How about you fools wait until HL2 comes out before you claim that nVidia cards won't run it decently. I promise nVidia cards will run HL2 as good as, or better than ATi. I guess beating nVidia in a benchmark on HL2 months before it releases justifies your $400 card.

Can't wait till HL2 comes out and I buy a card cheaper than yours and still get better/same performance. Congratulations on your purchase big boy.

so am i right in thinking that 8 pipes at 200mhz would be the same as 4 pipe at 400mhz?

therefore 8 pipes at 275mhz would mean 4 pipes at 550mhz

there is another factor tho. the 9600pro is has better optimizations with Hyper z and all that plus it was designed to work perfectly with a 128bit memory pipe line. the 9500 pro how ever is a R300 core lifted straight from a 9700/9700pro and this was designed to work perfectly with a 256bit bus. so the 9500pro isnt fully optimized as it wasnt really designed to run perfect with 128bit
