Sure??? That's with cheats enabled, so not valid score.

I can guarantee there are no "cheats" enabled. Hell, I don't even know what they are.

The drivers are standard 53.03 with the "coolbits" enabled so I can OC. And that's it.

Those drivers implement cheats, is not that you make it use them. Your score is much higher than it really should. You have to install 3dmark03 3.40 patch and use another Forceware drivers to see real 3dmark scores. Just have a look at futuremark to check which drivers can be used to benchmark with 3dmark03.

I have the 340 version. And these drivers are the newest nVidia offers. How can this be a "cheat" when my graphics look exactly the same as yours?

This is what happens when you become emotionally wrapped up in your hardware brands. When another company releases drivers that perform better, you kick and scream and call them a "cheat."

Well, how about this:

3DMark2001 score:

19281

http://service.futuremark.com/compare?2k1=7354922

Or is my hardware cheating here, too?

LOL. Are you aware of what is happening with NVidias new drivers reenabling the cheats the 340 patch disabled?
If you weren't you're now. It happens because it has a weak DX9 strengh which needs to be highly tweaked to perform correctly. Futuremark claims they're cheating. Think whatever you want, we'll see how your 5900 performs in DX9 titles.

3dMark01 is VERY CPU dependant and with a 3.6Ghz and a decent video card it would be hard not to see that high scores.

Tell me, how is it a "cheat" when my graphics look exactly like yours?

There are tons of information in the web, beyond 3d has lots of information on this. Just have a look. If you for example reorder shaders you are cheating even if it looks the same it isn't rendering it as it is intended to. Have a look at it.

The IQ can be the same even with cheats. NV just needs to detect the application and insert pre-rendered stuff or shader replacements so close to the original you can?t tell the difference.

And yes NV has cheats in 3DMark2001.

Obviously there is confusion on these 3DMK?s cheating issues so we haven?t had enough discussion on it. ;)

We should maybe have a sticky. (Checks to see if flame thrower is fully recharged.)
