how is the support for number nine vid cards in linux?

i have a rev number nine /ticket to ride card in my server and i think its way too good of a vid card to be sitting in a server. on the other hand i have some s3 card in my linux box and am not impressed with the graphic performance (not sure if its drivers or what, it just looks bad and is unstable)

could i switch the #9 card into my mandrake machine? i would think that as a graphical artist/cad card it would be well supported in linux.... but who knows? anyone have any experience?

actually using the link you gave, it looks like it is supported. i'm fairly sure it is one of the imagine 128 series (maybe series2). i don't know for sure because i'm not at home where i can verify exact model #.

cant wait to try it out with my new k6-2 350 im gonna plug in there (and hopefully oc to 400🙂 ) i hope this will give a relatively significant improvement over my current setup of a p166mmx and s3 virge.

ahh 'comon go for 450. I got 400 out of a 300 a couple years back and just using one of the original GlobalWin fans. Had to bump the voltage though

im being constrained by the mobo... i can even get it to boot at 166 with the new cpu because of the voltage i think. the cpu wants 2.2v core/3.3 io and the closest teh mobo supports is 2.2/3.4 it doesnt work🙁🙁 i dunno what to do, and i hate playing with jumpers
