How is the MSI Ultra333 SiS645 board?

Both my friend and I are looking for a P4 DDR solution, and this looks very cost effective. At less than $100, it is a pretty good deal compared to the ASUS SiS645 board. Just wondering how this board is, and will it support future P4 Northwood when it comes out?

Dunno about Northwood, but after owning a VIA Board (KT133A), the MSI Sis 645 board is a godsend. I have had ZERO problems with it :)

*LOL*

I currently own the EPoX 8KTA3+, and although it is running fine now, it took me a lot tweaking, and installing that VIA 4-in-1 crap. I am looking for a P4 DDR solution, really tired of VIA chipsets.

It looks like a really good board, just want to see what other people think.

Yeah, i had the 8KTA3 and i always seemed to have one compatibility problem after another, mainly with getting my HArd Drives to run in something other than PIO mode

No bashing, I know there is good and bad to everything. Athlon XP and most VIA based boards offer very fast computers. I just rather own a P4 DDR based setup right now. You should hear how loud my computer is with my Vantec cooling. I can hear my computer scream the second I walk in my house, and my room is upstairs. I've build many P4 systems for people, and they are near silent.

VIA Bashing? Now who in their right mind would VIA bash? They make the worlds most stable Motherboards :)

I think this sentiment will be shared a lot in the coming weeks. Cool+silent=happiness.

I put together my first puter a couple weeks ago using the 645 Ultra. It is working fine.
