wow, i'm confused. are you asking how to spell, spelt? or spelled? I guess it depends on how you want to use the word. man, this english lanuage is so fvcked up

It's really spelled, but I like using spelt cuz it's a bit easier to say. Kinda like kilt.

"I kilt him!"

The forms with -ed are also common in Commonwealth usage, and preferred by many as they are weak verbs.
