I love that fact that even though I'm running SETI on it I can still get over three hours of use with it before the battery needs to be charged.

Now thats impressive.

Ok looks like I overestimated that amount. Now that I got it at the full 1500MHz battery time while running SETI is right at 2 hours.

So did the SETI processing time got better when you did that?

Oh yeah it cut WU times from around 4:30 to 2:20. I have seen it even hit 1:45 on a VHAR WU.

With SETI off and Speed Step on battery time is around 5.5 hours with the regular battery. I shudder to think what it would be with the extended life battery.😎

IsOs,
You can allways buy Barebones and build it little by little.

It would be really fun if the BIOS gives ability to overclock🙂

Overclocking requires better cooling then stock will permit. So, it will be kinda hard to rip it open and stick a bigger fan on it. You could always wire wrap? Hmmm...

I figure... 14 WU a day for a grand.... or 100 WU a day for a grand? Hmmm, No brainer...

they also have 900 mhz versions of the centrino...

imagine the battery life with a 900 mhz centrino.. YUMMY....

I got the fujitsu lifebook with the Curuso (SP) chip in it 933Mhz, slow a crap but, hey the batt life is over 4 hours while watching DVD's! 🙂 It's a cool little machine. Tho, I would want to run seti on it! 😉

Try carrying it with you when you travel🙂
