Also Ryzen can be used OUTSIDE the gaming like Virtual Machines.
Despite Ryzen couldn't beat Intel, they did caught up and that is important... The competition is still alive.
I'm not sure what you're referencing except those people running old games. I've been in the major enterprise space for over 12 years and not a single one is still on XP.When it comes to virtual machines and running older operating systems like windows xp, that nasty vme bug is still here. But according to people on the RWT forum, a patch in microcode is coming.

Just imagine the performance gain I will experience when I decide to upgrade sometime in July. I am still on an FX-8120 / GTX 760. Cpu has never failed me, and it has always been enough for my needs. Ill be waiting on Vega to upgrade. Although the CPU will likely be a 1600X....or maybe a even a 1700.
Hell, I still got a Core 2 Duo E7200 machine with a EVGA 9800GTX for basic use.![]()
