how is quality of kt133a

How is the quality/reliability/stability of the KT133A chipset. It would be on the Asus board.

kt133a is a great chipset and should work very well for you


but... it is getting pretty old 🙂

the north bridgw is ok but the south has it problems. like with soundblaster and some other things.

KT133A on my K7T Turbo has been excellent.

The Asus A7V133 and MSI K7T Turbo series are the two highest rated KT133A boards
according to some site that calls itself "AnandTech". 🙂

Loved my ASUS A7V133 mobo. stable/reliable/ no doubt about it. I moved on to a DDR board. But will be using it again for a 3rd computer.

I am running an Asus A7V133 (KT133a) with an AMD XP processor and 512MBs SDRAM, and it extremely stable! I would say the quality is top notch, too. It is not "cutting edge" anymore, but nothing ever is for long.
