how is newegg good???

i ordered my stuff friday (last week) morning
its gonna be here thursday (this week) according to fedex
thats not faster than anywhere else
why does everyone say newegg is so fast

i ordered the 9800pro 256mb, and a day later the 9800pro 256mb is about $40 cheaper, even cheaper than the 9800pro 128mb

i emailed newegg, and they told me that newegg doesnt have price protection

so can you guys tell me why newegg is so good???
the only reason i can think of is the great website
 
i have yet to have excellent shipping times from newegg as well, however i have yet to have an order that was late. so if their shipping isnt always as good for you as it is for others, what else do they have to offer?

well for one thing: a great RMA policy. first 30 days its no questions asked returns, and 90 days for repairs/fautly components. i dont have alot of experience w/ other online retailers, but i doubt many (if any) can top that. in theory you could fry your $800 cpu trying to overclock it the first week and get a new one free.

second: the prices at newegg are almost always some of the best you can find. go on pricewatch.com and if newegg carries a product, 9 times out of 10 they will be one of the top 5 lowest prices.

not to mention they have been around for years, they are very reputable.
 
you probably ordered late friday? process doenst go thru til monday because they dont work on sat/sun.. and i bet you that ur shipment comes WEDNESDAY.. which will be 3 days which is normal
 
I have always gotten excellent service from them and that's why I keep going back. If you want something fast...try your local Best Buy.
 
To be more precise, Newegg has quick processing - it's not as if Newegg employees are speeding in the Fedex truck to your house. I also have gotten every order from them early, even when it's cross country; and even when the billing and shipping addresses don't match (which takes forever at other sites), they process it within a day.

most of my stuff comes one to two days after the order is processed and shipping is either free or very reasonable.
 
i had a hard drive failure,i quickly ordered two new system disks on a thursday afternoon and had them sent overnight. newegg e-mailed me and said there was a problem verifiying my info with the credit card company. i paniced and called them,and explained how i NEEDED the hard drive before the weekend. the lady said one moment and put me on hold. 5 minutes later she returned and told me she called my CC company, verified the info, and expidited my order out. i got the hard drives the next day. i'm sold on newegg forever not only because of that,but for many many other satisified orders.
 
Newegg is awesome. They actually take care of their customers. They deserve every good remark they get. Their shipping pretty much always arrives ahead of schedule, they have a great rma program, they package well, their website is awesome, they keep tons of stuff in stock, and prices are great. You can't argue.

Price protection doesn't come free, it's a form of insurance.

I'd rather know what I'm buying and pay less on every order.
 
I have heard nothing but good about NewEgg.

That being said, I'm not particularily fond of them simply because they've decided to avoid any and all international orders. With all the boosts in border security, not to mention the shipping companies being jerks, it's hard to get some of the spectacular deals everyone else gets. Particularily when you consider how easy it should be to cross a border like the U.S/Canadian one.
 
If there is one thing bad about Newegg, it's their ridiculous shipping policy. I know it's difficult to determine when dealing with multiple warehouses, but throwing a tube of AS into a giant box of other stuff shouldn't cost an extra $4 for shipping. If they ever find a solution for that Newegg will definitely be the perfect online store.
 
the 4 bux for a tube of AS5's shipping is how they make their money! instead of putting the shipping charges on the more expensive items like CPUs and video cards, they put them on the cheap, but necessary items, like floppy drives, thermal paste, fans, junk like that. my parents did not grow up in the US as i have, and they told me one thing to always remember here, NOTHING IS FREE! 🙂 hahaha
 
RAM is awesome, work with you if they screw up your order (does not happen but on a few rare occasion), cheap prices, dont screw you with shipping, great selection
 
it's just because you ordered on friday. nothing really gets done over the weekend so it's almost the same as if you ordered it sunday or early monday. So if you would of ordered on monday it would probably still be getting to you on thursday also. Anytime I order from newegg they always ship it within 1 business day and fedex always comes to my house a day before the estimated arival date. Usually if I order on monday it gets here by no later than thursday wich is very fast for such a cheap shipping price.
