How is Linux with multi-display support?

I currently have an RTX 4090 graphics card and a Display Port connection from my card to my HDMI switch (via a DP to HDMI converter) which is then connected to my monitor's DVI (via an HDMI to DVI cable) and the HDMI going from my card to my AV receiver which goes to my TV. I set it up to use one display at a time in the driver's multi-display settings. I'm using Windows 10. Now with the EOL of Windows 10 coming up later this year and I don't want to go back to Windows 11 (I tried it but hated it), I'm considering switching to a Linux distro (preferably Mint) in the near future but I need to know how the multi-display support is in Linux, especially with Nvidia cards. I'm a big PC gamer and switch to my TV for most games (ones that have good gamepad support) and use Steam's Big Picture Mode. Also the displays use their respected audio devices when switching displays, for example if I switch to my TV by turning on my AV receiver and TV, the audio will automatically switch to my AV receiver and once I turn off my receiver and TV, the audio will be switched back to my HDMI switch (has 3.5" stereo output jack that I connect to my PC speakers) that's connected to my monitor. Can I have this same multi-display support in Linux including the automatic audio switching?
