How is Korean Air, economy class? And also, how is Incheon airport? Good or bad experiences? Havn't used this airline before . . . kinda wish Sinagpore and Cathay had open seats, but they dont =/

I went to korea via korean air..........very nice............I felt the service was great....even for economy........the stewardess literally checked on us every 10 to 15 minutes, and we were never dehydrated...my ticket said I get 1 meal, but I got 2 meals, w/ lots of snacks and drinks.

incheon airport is good too......when you get there, on the second floor is a mcdonalds....try their BulGoGi burger(BBQ burger)...pretty good.

well, i have a 14 hour stopover there (6am arrival, 8pm departure)

any cool things to do inside the airport?

(im going by myself, going outside the airport would be pretty hard . . . im a teenager and even though i probably could, ehhh . . . dont wanna risk it)

edit: since korean is skymiles partner with delta and i have like 20,000 extra skymiles that i dont really think im going to use, is a one way business class upgrade worth it?

yeap inchon is pretty damn cool, pretty safe too, they caught like 7 al-queda members there back in july using fake passports.

korean air like semidevil said the service is great, they are really attentive to you, not to mention they all look spectacular as well. korean air operates one of the finest airlines in the skies.

though economy class sounds bad, its really actually a good seat. business/first class is much more comfy though. if youre going to go take the ~18hr trip from the east coast, i would upgrade if you got the skymiles.

i'm going LAX to Seoul to Mumbai, so not east coast trip

but i have a 14 hour stopover on the ground on the way back, do they offer ground services (resting area, etc)

i imagine they would . . . if so, i'll get the upgrade on that leg

well theres nothing near the airport, just a highway that connects to other cities such as seoul. on foot, you really cant go anywhere to entertain yourself for that long delay.

invest in a good book/mags while youre still in america, or get an mp3 player. really no chance of going anywhere unless you are familiar with the area, and depending on how you look, the taxi drivers, even though they are affordable compared to places like japan, would avoid you like the plauge if you cant speak a lick of korean or dont even know where you want to go.

id stay in the airport, find a cozy seat, and sit there.

not so bad coming from LAX

from DFW to ICN it was 14 hrs, id imagine maybe 12 or even 11 if you catch a slipstream

just bear with economy, its really not as bad as you think.

edit: i know it was DEFINATLEY bearable with the unlimited jack/coke and scotch/waters i had though ;) made the trip go real fast though i didnt catch any sleep.

i've been on it before, cathay pacific gives absolutely NO LEGROOM in economy

its a PITA on the 747s because its a 3-4-3 config, so you're all squished and stuff

at least on the A340-600, its a 2-4-2
