How is it that American Wedding was such a disapointment *spoilers*

I laughed when stiffler ate the poo. I laughed hard, but otherwise the movie was just nearly as good a the previous two. The stripper scene...well it was just retarded. I got near the end and asked mrsskoorb "What's the point of this scene?". It made no sense. It was a weak attempt at having boobs in the movie, since we'd come to expect them from AP 1 & 2.

And Stiffler. Damn, they ruined him. He was _such an asshole_ in this movie. In AP1 & 2 he was a dickhead, but I could see having him around on ocassion just for fun, but in this movie he was a spiteful vindictive asshole (especially during the first half) and he really detracted from the movie. I hope they don't make an American Baby. Really I do.
 
I quite enjoyed it but my fave is American Pie 2 for sure 😉

That scene was classic....whole cinema shrieked "eeeeeeeuuurrrrrrgh" I turned and looked at my mate who had a horrified look on his face which made me crack up even more.

Stiffler in the gay club was pretty funny too. But if pushed, I would say it was the worst of the 3....but still glad I watched it.
 
I doubt you will see another American Pie movie.

However I thought the third movie was better than the 2nd one.
I do agree that they went overboard in making Stiffler seem like an asshole in the beginning.
However the dance off was hilarious. And I also thought it was nice that they stopped
dressing Allison Hannigan down. That and it was good that they removed Oz and his girlfriend,
and limited Thomas Ian Nicholas role. Because they just weren't good in the second movie.

Yeah his character just wasn't that funny....was funny when he came rolling out of the cupboard blindfolded and tied to the chair though 😀

Allison is cute at times, but overall I find her rather unpleasing to the eye. Probably the paler-than-hell skin that she has. She comes off TOO well as the little band freak pervert. Kind of girl I'd have bad dreams about. The kind of girl that if you're a kid and she takes a liking to you you'd cry.
 
Not sure if anyone here has seen the unrated version, but there is a funny scene, which I really don't know why didn't get into
the movie, where the two strippers says, do you want us to kiss? And the guys back up saying, No no no, we fell for that one before.

Ok, but it wasn't in the theater, were I saw the original. Which depending on how much footage they added for the stripper scene,
in the standard dvd, i can understand why you thought it didn't flow. In the theatre the scene was shorter seemed to fit better.
Whereas when I saw the DVD, it just seemed to be a collection of footage which they were sure what to bring to the theater.
 
Why do they come out with so many different kinds of dvd's initially???

Rented the Rated R version and it was funnay but not as funny as the first 2

"Jim sucks donkry d..."

Poo and dog/cake scene were the best. Stiffler was was too much of a prick.
 
I'm not sure what's different in the unrated version, but that's the one I rented @ Blockbuster. I thought American Wedding was hilarious. I laughed at quite a few of the scenes. For those of you who didn't like it, be glad you didn't pay $8.50 to see it at the theatre.

They did not remove him and Mena Suvari - they opted not to be in the film, which I said in the other thread.

And yes, Stifler was made into the biggest ass ever. A.W. lacked the originality and the curiousness aspect that made AP 1 & 2 into such big hits.

I agree the stripper scene was a bit long compared to the rest of the movie but I thought it was the best of the 3.
