Felt a little like old times at the grocery today. Eggs on sale for $1.69/18ct and boxes of pasta on sale for $0.79. Chicken still up quite a bit though
Yeah, Kroger is having a pretty good deal on 18 eggs through Tuesday or Wednesday, I've heard.I'd ask where this was so I could head right over BUT somehow I have the feeling this is not anywhere near me? (Connecticut)
(obviously this is not your fault.... but I'm still holding you responsible!)![]()
Post 276....

Free Disney+ trials come with everything. So Disney can tout subscriber growth. BUUTT, how many accounts are actually active still?? Hmm.According to our finance minister if I cancel Disney+ it can make inflation go away. Going to sign up for it and cancel it to see if it helps.![]()

They passed that material through "Touchstone Pictures"; so many died never knowing the truth and associating the names together, which is exactly what the company wanted.Disney IMO used to gear a lot more materiel towards older/more sophisticated people then they do now. Either that or they've "dumbed down" to the point where most of what they produce is childish and simplistic.

^^^ The stock market perverts the best of free trade capitalism. Instead of building a reputation of good ideas that are well made, it becomes a game of hot potato, where nobody thinks beyond the next quarter, and the only value is 'shareholder value'. Know who gives a fuck about 'shareholder value'? Nobody that matters. C level execs and shareholders. The least valuable parts of the chain.Publicly traded Corporations ruin most of what they touch.

Business always favors the predatory even without a stock market as funding mechanism. And I'm not talking about just the typical evil dudes in suits.^^^ The stock market perverts the best of free trade capitalism.
