How is gaming on a widescreen lcd?

How is gaming on a widescreen lcd? i'm curious on how its different at all, since games are intended to be played on a normal screen. are they stretched? just curious here.

No, you play them in the resolution native to your screen, so you play your games in wide screen. It's much more natural and cinematic.

Many games don't support anything but the standard resolutions so as a result you either run it centered with black bars or stretched. That's not to say that there aren't a lot of games that do support widescreen, but it really just depends on the specific game.

newer games support wide screen these days. setting in options

If the game supports widescreen, its very very nice, also when it's streched or you have bars its not to big a deal still looks pretty good.
