How is Disney's Animal Kingdom?

My family and I are going to go see family and Florida and we are going to stop by there since we have been to all the usuall places so many times (like Disney World, Universal, MGM, etc) Is the zoo any good?
 
My wife and I thought is was the lamest of the 4 parks, but kids there seemed to love it. So if you have kids, they might have a different opinion.
 
I only went on the safari ride and left (end of the day), but I'd like to go back and see the rest. I don't know if it would be good for a full day (at $50 a pop).
