how is diablo ii on battle.net?

i've only played the single player before (not the expansion), and i lost the cds. so is it worth buying the battle chest to play online?

I actually like the storyline line, pretty engrossing for me. In multiplayer all it is is leveling as fast as you can on cow levels so you can get the good stuff and fight other peopel

i beat it with about 5 different characters on all 3 different diffaculties

i never plaied it on battle net

i just want to have fun without wasting a lot of time being bored. two of my friends at school play it, but since they're obsessed, i can't really get a good opinion from them on whether it's good. i want to be able to have fun even when they're not on though.

Awesome. Battle.net is where the game is at. Singleplayer gets old, but multiplayer is great.

If you ever get rich enough, invest in PvP, that is FUN! I played for a while, was extremely rich, and PvPed all the time, I sold my account for $150 a little over 2 years ago, and paid for some of my Xbox with it.

so it's pretty fun when compared to other online games? i've been playing warcraft iii a lot recently, and i used to play asheron's call, which was really fun at the time.

It's a lot of fun....but very addicting. I'd say it's definitely worth picking up again. Gogamer has the battlechest on sale during the 48 hour madness sale for $22.90 right now.

single player is actually quite refreshing. and you can set 'players 8' to get the same drops and same difficultly as multiplayer.
