how is curling a sport?

I don't know much about curling, but I can tell you that there is a great movie about it called Men With Brooms, sooo funny

What attention? THe only time I ever hear it mentioned are during the olympics and the occasional thread on ATOT asking how it's a sport.

Those are the rules of the game/sport - there is no cheating involved.

I'm not so much opposed to it being a sport inof itself as I am opposed to it being an OLYMPIC sport. Not even opposed, really, just looking for justification.

seem to be "sports" that not that many people consider major.

By all this logic, I propose snot tossing to be a sport. It's a game I made up where one most toss their snot into someone else's mouth standing 5 feet away. It can be highly competitive, and landing the snot in the mouth is an action which takes skill and can be mastered. Further, score is kept.

Do you all think this is a sport?????????????? And if not, why not? At's more fun than curling.

Man, curling rocks. I was watching it last weekend, first time I've watched anything on TV in a good while. I have so much more respect for the average curler than I do for the stereotypical hockey/baseball player.
